NorAM Finals & FIS Races at the National Championship:
All competitors participating in Open Class Alpine, Boardercross & Skiercross events at the 2018 National Championship must have a USASA, USSA & FIS License.

Nationals Qualifications:

Updated 8/16/2017 – Qualifications for 2018 Nationals coming soon, but should be similar to last years qualifications below.

  • Must be the Series Champion for a discipline and age group
  • Series Champion determined by:
    • HIGHEST SERIES POINT total: (If number of Series Events for discipline totals 3 or less during season, then total of all those SERIES events will count towards Series Champion.)
    • Best 3 out of 4:  (If number of Series Events for discipline total 4…  then best 3 out of 4 will count towards Series Champion)
    • Best 3 out of 5:  (If number of Series Events for discipline total 5…  then best 3 out of 5 will count towards Series Champion)
    • Points obtained outside Series will count towards National Ranking only.
  • Ties in points for Series Champion are handled as follows:
    • GS, SL – Fastest Total Times, Start List (Later in Start List receives preference)
    • BS – Fastest Total Times, Start List (Later in Start List receives preference)
    • SS – Best Scores, (Later in Start List receives preference)
    • HP – Best Scores, (Later in Start List receives preference)
    • RJ – Best Scores, (Later in Start List receives preference)
    • SX/SBX – Best Time Trials, (Later in Start List receives preference)

** Note: You MUST be a certified coach to receive access to event venues (starting area) and to be eligible for USASA Coach lift tickets. No exceptions! Coaches will be required to present proof of certification/coaching license to receive tickets and access to coach areas!
